Hello all,

I have a 2012 Non PP SHO.  The right rear caliper is not releasing completely and figured since I should replace them all, as they may be the originals, to stop here and ask if anyone has converted to the 2013+ brake system?

What all gets replaced, I know the rotors are larger, which I was wanting to upgrade anyways to drilled and slotted.

I would like to have a caliper that is powder coated if possible, as I hate the rusted look I have now.

Thanks for your time and insight!

Has there sos been any debate on rotors, pads, and calipers?

Mostly it will be personal opinion, like any other debate.  But really the 2013+ brake update is very effective regardless of driving conditions, except for maybe prolonged auto-x'ing.  Those are "extreme" situations.

Power Stop kits make for good DDs, you can step up to EBC rotors & pads (Yellowstuff) for better drag strip capabilities, and of course the ultimate upgrade is Wilwood kits (if even still available).  For racing/prolonged auto-x'ing, best to go with blank high carbon rotors and race duty pads from Carbotech/Porterfield/etc.
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I don't think I need to go all crazy with Auto Crossing, so the larger rotors for the 13+ would be great.

Any suggestions on the calipers being powder coated or a brand, other than Brembo?

For the caliper, only that G2 caliper paints are popular & durable if you want to go that route.  Lots of masking, coats, and taking your time should do the trick.
