Dont think you want to he opening that ecu...if there is more damage it wont be repairable by soldering...im almost thinking that you like to tinker and do more harm than good

Do you have an electronic's bracelet that allows static to discharge your body instead of to the boards you will work on?

Way ahead of y'all. Brought it to Ford, they called me 30 minutes ago saying tampering was to blame. Marks on the ecm bolts as they used new ones, like u wouldn't mark them tightening them down?! And they can see an ecu has been unplugged? Also I told them i checked it. Said I must have pulled to hard. What the hell ever. My only option now is to open up the ecm, check for internal damage, and resolder from inside running wires to back off connector. Feels like jumping out a plane with no chute. So wish me luck!!

I would talk to ford customer service on the phone and explain your issues. Of course leave out that you have tampered, other than visually verified everything being connected. Even with the broken prong, it should be clear that there was another issue/multiple issues due to the burns so that is a piss poor excuse for them to not fix an issue that they incorrectly resolved to start with.

An anti static strap? As a matter of fact I do. And yes, you nailed it. I LOOOVE doing more harm than actual good. Because, you know, that's how ppl do things. Like really? I'm sorry but you've served not too much good on my post. Mostly negative stuff so please quit. I'm not here for that.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!
