I have a question.  Something seems strange to me, but I noticed since I'm running my x4 as a monitor my voltage after driving a while runs 12.9-13 when I'm cruising.  Is this normal for these cars? Also noticed when I slow down or stop, like at a stoplight, the voltage returns to 14.2ish.   Guess I'm just too old school, just don't like seeing below 13.5-14, but maybe it's normal.

Seems normal to me, I know of at least three tables in the PCM that vary alternator output based on engine load and estimated battery temperature.

Thanks. Yeah, wasn't sure.  My truck is the same as far as varying but it never drops below 13.6.  So 12.8-13 seemed low but maybe there's not as much draw on these car systems.

12.9 is as low as it should go, but +/-0.1v is well within reason.
