Vapor Canister Purge Valve!!

Part came in today. Upon quick visual inspection, all looked great. Pulled old one off and snaked the new one in. Didn't fit the rear port. Pulled out and compared to original. Rear tube on stock is bigger and has different size connector on end. Front side fit on port, but had about an inch extra tube and a very slightly different bend, so it doesn't sit super pretty. The rear tube has a quick connect at bother ends so swapped out to stock tube. Valve is the exact same, so hopefully that is the part that is bad. Front tube is molded onto the valve so it had to stay.

I have a 2013+pp mine was replaced under warranty, bought used 35,500 miles, surged, stalled......fine since replacement. Not sure why it failed.

Hey folks - 2011 SHO here... got a P0455 and P0457. Tried the tips from the Ford mechanic video on YouTube... did the fuel fill area compressed air cleaning, the funnel abuse, and the wipe-down. Cleared codes, came back relatively quickly.

Ordered the part from Rock Auto, and lo and behold it's the wrong one, as clearly identified in this thread. Not sure if that Dorman 911-281 exists somewhere on the car, but it's definitely not under the hood from what I can tell.

So now that I popped the engine cover and found the little bugger which all have graciously posted pictures of, any tips on removing the hoses? I'll likely be ordering the part from Tasca - but some are saying hoses are too long/too short, so I want to ensure I don't mangle them while removing in case they need to be reused.

The correct part number should be DG1Z9G271B .
I would always disconnect the harness power connector prior to removal.

To remove the connector (gently) push the connector inwards so the other side of the connector will come loose and pop out. Z
I found using a stubby flathead screw-driver to be ideal.

FYI -Don't be a Gorilla while handling these vapor lines while instead using extra precaution is advised.

Hey jchaase, did the new VCP valve part no. DG1Z9G271B work with removing the codes you were receiving? I'm constantly getting the P0455 and P0457 codes.

Thanks ZSHO for this post! I ordered the part from Tasca and it fit perfectly. It's been about a month now and no more check engine light or "Check Fuel Fill Inlet" message.

I just wanted to circle back around and say that I recently bought this part from RockAuto, swapped it out in like 10 minutes, cleared the error and it hasn't come back. Before when I'd clear the error it'd come back after driving just a few minutes. So I guess it had gone bad, even though the test seemed to indicate otherwise. Oh well, cheap fix! Thanks again!

hey guys, just wanted to chime in here...

the DG1Z-9G271-B STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS CP826

does NOT work on a 2011 Lincoln MKS 3.5 ecoboost

the rear end of the female hose connection is too small....

i managed to seperate the hose in the middle and make it work, but id still like to find the correct one for the lincoln...

the part number i got off the old half of the tube is AA53-9G271-AJ

someone have some ideas where to find the correct Lincoln version?

Fuel Line Retainer Clips Seperate IIRC!
Need to Confirm the correct size.
