Thought I would share the experience I had having my car tuned by one of the more well known guys in the SHO community... Sorry for the long winded post but I just can't say enough good things about this guy!!

Now at 4500 rpms in first gear.. the tires just start chirping... And the power just continues all the way through from the moment I floor it until i let off... There is NO dip in power, even after the upshift to third gear.. it just pulls harder... Even after 100MPH... It just flies!!

AND my AFRs are steady at .80 lambda along with fuel trims that stay flat at 1... Even after hammering on my car.. rock solid...

If anyone here has followed any of my posts then you know I have struggled with fuel pressure issues... Hitting throttle cut off etc...  I replaced my LPFP, FPDM, and HPFP trying to figure it out...which only made small differences.. nothing to resolve my issues.

I have been battling with getting a tune on this car for 5 months...nothing worked...

Then only two weeks ago AJPTurbo took pity on me and asked me to let him give it a shot with his tune.. I figured at this point why not...I was about ready to put it back to stock and sell the tuner..

I have NEVER had such detailed and thorough explanations as we went back and forth with datalogs and tunes.. about what he saw and what changes he was making and WHY he was making those changes.. and answered very patiently all of my very novice and sometimes( probably a more than I want to admit) stupid questions...through 15+ revisions.

He took the time to dig into my fuel pressure issues which turns out I didn't have any... I'm sure he can explain it better than I can but let's just say I no longer worry about fuel.. I have asked other tuners about it and none of them took the time to really answer...

I now have 4400lb rocket that hauls ass!!! Never thought I would get there..

AJPTurbo tuned my SHO!! And Sweet Baby Jesus is it legit!!!

AJP is awesome that is for sure, he has been extremely patient and educational on even my car even though its not really his forte. I feel I am so much closer to DiY myself! Big props to AJP!

High and well deserved praise!  Glad to hear that your fuel issues were tune related and not mechanical.

15 revisions...that's a LOT of data logging.  I think the Sheriff would be waiting for me in the small town I live in.  LOL.  Did the revisions seem to make the car faster or just smooth out the fuel delivery?

18 revisions with Unleashed and 15 revisions with AJP... average 3 pulls per rev... 99+ different pulls... so yes.. I hammered it.. over the past 4 months... and there is an area down the street where I live that I can run up to 100MPH without much trouble..

So, AJP slowly worked the tunes on my car.. he can describe better how he did it no doubt.. but each rev was faster than the last while maintaining fuel delivery and other safety points he checks on... we worked through some progressions to get the car where he thinks is a good safe tune..we started with a stock datalog so he knew he was working with something that didn't have a major issue at the start..

I am running a hair over 15PSI with a pretty good advance while maintaining no knock.. and fuel trims that look great.. STFT's at 1... LTFT at 1... AFRs sticking at LAMBSE with no spikes... so I would say safe, fast, and consistent feeling in each pull.

FYI I am booking my local DYNO.. but they don't have a temp controlled garage... so I am probably going to have to wait until sept/oct when the temps are in the 70's as opposed the 95+ they are right now... unless I can find somewhere else that has a temp controlled garage..

I just want to add that I am very happy with the experience I have had with AJP tuning my wife's Explorer.  This thing has limitations he has to deal with, but he has still been able to get me a tune much quicker than stock, while still maintaining perfect drivability and the logs look great.  I am still hopeful that there is a little left in it or that I can find a hardware problem causing the limitations so he can get more aggressive.  Thanks AJP.

+1 for ajp here as well! he's been great to work with and communication is top notch. i couldn't imagine just getting revisions from a vendor without the explanation of what there doing and why. still struggling with the fact of not being able to tune my own car like my previous platforms but ajp has made it pretty painless.

AJP is currently working on tuning mine, and it already is worlds of difference, and we're only on Rev3. His respect, response times, and attention to detail are all top notch, and he definitely knows what he is doing.

I feel a little adrenaline rush every time I go to log, since I don't know how much better it will feel, and how much closer I'll be to seeing those menacing blue and red lights.

Either way, if anyone is on the fence, AJP is the way to go!
