So I have a CEL for a bad cat and was wondering if on a car this advanced if i could just put on a non fouler on the downstream O2 to delete the code? The cat has broke apart internally and now is free flowing.

Would u happen to know why? Is it because we use wideband 02s?

Damn, your car is always action packed with issues!

And non foulers won't work because it's a new logic for determining catalyst efficiency.....It doesn't appreciate being lied to.

Haha. Good way to put it. And yea, this car hasn't been very nice to me.

I dont understand how the cat could have broken apart and is free flowing.  If a cat breaks up, it will clog/restrict the exhaust system.  Not sure whether the "Fooler" solution works, but the downstream sensors are narrowband.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

P0430 catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 2. I also here a rattle sound around the cat area which lead me to thing it broke apart but like Shodded said, I guess that's not possible so idk.

Any ideas on what could be wrong then? P0430 code with rattle sound by cat area but no significant performance decrease.

Maybe it is early stages, are you sure the heat shield and clamps are secure?

Just found the rattle. It stopped when I pushed my foot onto the flex pipe. And i can specifically hear it now coming from the flex pipe. How'd that happen? The mesh around it looks fine. Something in there?? 🤔

The mesh can separate from the tubing, I don't know if that would cause a "rattle", but it could.
