I'd say give it a good 1,000 miles first to break it in and look for issues.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

This all came from a rough idle?!!!

That is pretty much my story to a T.  Took it in because it would shake off idle.  After a few weeks of changing the whole PCV system, spark plugs, etc, they did a compression test and found a dead cylinder.  Upon tear down they found a cracked ring land.  Piston ring was wedge in a compressed state causing the excess blowby and loss in compression.  New short block fixed that issue.

Two years later I'm fighting another issue though!

Sadly it is the wife's car, so I can't go too crazy on it...just a simple tune for now.

I'm having this exact same issue.  Exactly.  No misfire codes.  No check engine lights at all.  No noticeable issues anywhere but idle.  Just had my brother follow behind me to see if there was any smoke.  No smoke other than the typical GDI smoke.  I DO have an oil residue all over the back bumper and there IS oil all over and around the rear turbo and some around the front turbo.  Would the leaking oil around the turbos cause a rough idle?

Check your spark plugs for signs of running rich or burning oil.

If you suspect blow bye at idle pull the dipstick and look for any puffs of oil vapor.

my turbos were also visibly leaking. Probably from the blow by/excess crank case pressure.

Just a question, how obvious was it (the shake/vibration)

Was it subtle, or was it very noticeable - like even a passenger that knows nothing about cars would notice it easily even first time being it the car?

enough to shake my body in the car. it also happened instantly, no signs coming up to the failure

It's the scary truths about performance (especially turbo) cars. We are putting an engine through much more than a naturally aspirated engine.
