Judging by the Interweb of misinformation...

2017 Taurus will be in China only and be based on the Fusion platform.  2018 Taurus may be available in the US on that platform.

If I had my guess, I'd say they are saving the 3.0 EB from the MKZ for a Taurus SHO to debut in late 2018.  Strictly a guess at this point as I think Ford insiders have just said that the SHO is dead.
