Installing aftermarket trans cooler?

Has anyone successfully installed an aftermarket transmission oil cooler on their 2010-up SHO (not the PP aux trans cooler that someone already retrofitted)?

I finally saw a PP SHO in the parking lot at work, the factory trans cooler looks nice but I'm not a fan of paying that much money for something that can be done at a much lower cost. I used to install a B&M or Hayden cooler on my older Fords.

I saw that a few months ago, but I'm asking about installing an aftermarket cooler (like a B&M or Hayden). I wasn't sure how the fittings are designed on the stock integrated cooler and the thermostatic valve. It'd be a lot less expensive to just bolt a stacked plate cooler downstream of the factory integrated cooler which allows for proper thermostatic operation but also added cooling.
