No time like the present.  If you can, please post pics from a borescope for us to evaluate & learn as well.

I am having them do a borescope now and I'll report back, on 15,000 miles of pretty hard use

Aweesome Runs!!!

I was reading through the the log you posted, I was curious if you ever recorded your LTFT and STFT? And was that just a tune they set you up for the track?

Thanks!!

YES! you take off the push bar for the track I assume? I figured you would have won the bracket race!

Because I don't set up my own config files, not sure what you are asking. That tune was built on the street, and then we took to dyno, and did final touches. This tune can be driven on street EASY, I ran it with E20 for a few days and had no issues. But it runs best on 100 octane.

LTFT = Long Term Fuel Trim
STFT = Short Term Fuel Trim

Those go a long way in showing the health of tune IMHO. I was just curious since you are pushing A TON of boost and the timing is really cranked up on that run you posted. It would not surprise me that the car runs better with corn or 100 Octane.. I would venture to say without E20 or Race Gas and since you are not spraying Meth the knock sensor would probably pull timing... would be my guess...

Regardless of all the above, I bet your car pulls like a beast! Congrats on the times, those are stellar.

I will see if my street tunes include those! And for sure that tune would not be something to run daily on 93 octane, nor was it made for that purpose. It was just to see what we could do with the time spent developing tunes. I am coming up on some decent weather, and am super interested to see what she does. Thanks by the way.

Good deal, so you run a different tune for street? Thats kinda what I was asking if the tune you used for the track was the same tune you were provided for DD..

The fuel pressure drop in 3rd gear is pretty substantial.. not sure if just running 100 Octane race gas would help that as I think you mentioned this run was with E20 which puts a slightly higher demand on the fuel system I believe to produce the same power as without..

That drop will get exaggerated more when your IAT's drop in cooler weather, just something I would keep an eye on or at least mention to your tuner... thats one of the reason I was curious about the fuel trims as that would also provide an idea of how much of cushion there is in the ECU to add additional fuel if needed... but being as thats a track tune, I would imagine your tuner has already taken these things into account.

Well it is starting to get cooler, and I monitor fuel pressure real time on my DD tune, and it does drop off after the 2-3 shift for sure. I am open to ideas on how to fix that?

Welcome to the brick wall of running out of fuel when you don't control the boost spikes..

I had a similar issue but AJPTurbo helped me get back on track by controlling the boost spikes..

According to LME they only raise only a couple lbs over stock which is around 8-10psi... although I have heard rumors of 93v10 pushing 14.5psi - 15psi...and I am sure they doing something to control boost spikes...

I have seen Unleashed logs pushing similar boost although not that timing without Meth and the fueling pressure takes a massive dive..

So all in all, what your seeing if pretty typical...

I think I saw your tune was targeting 216kpa which is 16.82psi which is a lot of boost and you are spiking at 22.33psi on the shift into 3rd gear.. and then to a hair over 21psi in the shift to 4th... those types of boost spikes are going to punish your fuel rail.. I suspect that having your Lambse set to .82 or 12.05 AFR is helping your fuel pressure recover in between boost spikes since you are not running super rich...

Honestly with that big dip in third gearand the fact that you need to mix in 100 Octane or mix Ethanol to keep the knock down, I would be surprised if there is much room to run that tune any hotter safely to get better times unless you reign in those boost spikes..but I am not a tuner so take what I have to say at face value...

Yeah, the only thing I can do to better my times now is all on ME! I also think extending my shift points a little bit may help. My street tune is set .80 and obviously not as aggressive with timing or boost. But I still have that spike and fuel issue... So I am in process of getting that spike controlled.
