The dealer I purchased my car from put Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires on it.  I was a bit disappointed as I am a brand snob.  However they have been a really good tire in the dry, wet, and winter.  I've been very happy with them.

+1 on the gmax.
rain, snow and ice have all been a piece of cake in some pretty nasty NE Ohio storms.

After reviewing my options, I narrowed it to:

1) PILOT SPORT A/S 3+           $255/ea 30lb/ea
2) EXTREMECONTACT DWS 06  $216/ea 26lb/ea
3) G-FORCE COMP-2 A/S          $170/ea 30lb/ea

wow $170 is just a really great price, but I split the difference here, I think I'm going with the continentals, even though going into it I was sure the pilot sports were for me.

So thanks for all the feedback guys

I appreciate your price shopping. I do the same. Just to give more info...any of them have rebates?  I buy tires when the Quick Lane at my Ford dealer have rebates on the brand I want.  Usually saves $70-100 on a set.

I don't think there was a "wrong" choice among those 3.  Can't wait to get another review on the DWS06 though :D

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I never had the summer tires, but the Continental DWS 06's have much more grip than the original Michelin's.
I went with 255/45/20 to replace the original 245/45/20's for a more aggressive look.

how do you like the 255 , i went with 255 45 20 , i cant wait to get them on and drive the car.

I'm glad I went with the wider tire, I thought the original 245s looked a little narrow and the 255s give the car a beefier stance.
the conti 255s handle extremely well also.

I got my 255 45 20 general altimax put on yesterday and they look normal , looks like they should have came with that size on there.

Does general make their altimax line in that size?  You sure you didn't get 245 50 20?  That's the only size they make for 20" wheels.

245/50/20 is the only 20" size listed.  I've got these tires in this size, that's why i brought it up.  Just don't have them on yet.

If anyone has pics with 255-45s, I'd love to see them.

Here's a couple pictures. Ignore the dirty car, just drove over 1000 miles this week.

I'm surprised how much taller/meatier the 255 looks.  Not a good or bad thing.  Just surprised.  Maybe looks less sporty, but more aggressive?

Guessing it improves ride quality?
