New to me desert SHO

I probably saw you around at the freestyle tourneys then. I blew my knee out right after the season I'm 08. Unfortunately, the only kid that could beat me was in my own weight class at my own school. I was a heavyweight at Sunnyside. I used to love coming to Desert Vista for Fargo practice. Matthew's was one of my favorite coaches. Good times.

08 I know the 215lber was Diego but I don't remember the heavyweight. I only remember Diego, Pavlenko and other 215lbers that would give my son a run so I could scout them. My wife is the wrestling fan and knows all the names locally and nationally. She does the same for UFC, I just pop on watch kick ass matches for NCAA/USAW/UFC and then out, I don't care to know the backstory much.

Heavyweight was Anthony Pike. End up winning state that year and going on to be an all American. Kid was beast. But between my dad pushing me way too hard and bad circumstances on the home front, I never lived up to what I was supposed to. But yeah, I remember pavlenko too. I was a heavyweight since I was a sophomore. I would love to get back into it all but I got out of shape and my boys are too young. But that is a good way to do things. Lol.

BTW, I lost over 100lbs working with my son in wrestling and when he challenged me to wrestle after giving him s*** when he lost a match at 13. Took me 4 years to win a match but I placed at nationals after that and working with Matthews. I have put it back on with my achilles going out but you're young. Get the kids in the room and work with them, no better bonding.

Crazy is an understatement. Lol. But, one of the only kids that could best me. I definitely want to get back in a room. My boys are only 1 and 2. The coach I worked with the most and liked the most is back in Oklahoma I believe. But once the boys are a little older, I won't mind lacing up my Rulans and rolling around a bit. I've actually been working on getting in shape. I quit smoking (about a month and a half now) and just waiting a month or so to get in the gym. I don't need a heart attack. Lol.
