CES light come one

So, my 2014 SHO P.P. started throwing a P0020 code, Reset it to see if it came back, checked all plugs, ect.  Now its moved to a P0020 AND P0022 code.  I looked at the TSB page and saw there was one for the explorer.  Any ideas?  I was trying to find a blow up the the front (closest to radiator) head to see where the sensors ect are located in the head.  I still have to go in for the fuel module recall and want to have this fixed before that.  Cars tuned by Torrie at Fast Parts via sct,

Any chance you have had an electrical issue recently?

There is a CAM relearn procedure in the "special functions" of the SCT tuner. May want to try that, along with a KAM(keep alive memory) reset, and then follow the procedure to reset adaptive for shifting, etc.  (http://www.ecoboostperformanceforum.com/index.php?topic=2217.0)

Try clearing codes prior to, and then do this. May make a difference, may not.

Very likely the VCT solenoids need to be replaced.  What oil and filter are you running, and what is the typical OCI?  Might try an oil change along with the recommendations above.  Check the solenoid wiring loom for loose pins, tho i dont think thats it.

I had a bad harness cause this on the 15.

Log vct cam desired and actual. If you see actual barely moving that could be your issue.

Seems to happen only at start up.  And usually just the P0020, but if I drive it for a week somewhere in that timeline the 0022 code follows.  Been using the same oil and filter since I bought it.  Are the VCT sensors under the valve cover?  Reason I'm asking, The light first went off on a bumpy road going up to a cabin.  A lot of vibration.  I can reset the error code and drive all day, no power loss no issues, but once I shut the car off and restart it, it comes back.  I datalogged and saw that the alternator voltage was all over the place.  12.5 to 14.98 and went to, don't laugh, autozone, they hooked up and said bad diode ijn the alternator.  I datalogged a few days ago and voltage was steady.

The wiring runs under the Radiator Traced wires found GN wire rubbed through by / near upper radiator hose. 1 WT* KIT- Terminal $12.66. and under the battery tray. Z

Def check vct solenoid wiring, but sounds like the real culprit may be the alternator.  Mind you the charging system is a smart system, so a second opinion is advisable. 

BTW, IIRC there are some functions like fuel trim the PCM guesstimates off of Bank 1 as needed.  Others may be able to elaborate more.  But basically if one bank goes off the rails, the other one can "appear" to do so as well.  Dont know if this applies to the VCT system, just thought I'd throw it out  there.
