If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

2.77.

That is the final drive.....I don't think the ring and pinion in the rear needs to be the same....The focus RS is different and the clutch packs handle the torque delivery I think.

So, if I was to attempt a top end run should I use 4th or 5th gear and what is the max RPM that these engines can reach?

OK, my second question was "What is the max RPM of these engine"?

Im sure you could rev it to 7000...i dont see much benefit to rev it much over 6k...maybe 6200

Why do you ask?

In order to calculate the speeds of each trans gear with the 2.77 rear gear I will need to know what RPM these engines perform the best at. In other words the max RPM at each shift point. I don't think there is enough HP to pull 6th gear for top end ?
