'13 SHO PP brakes on NON-PP?

I've picked thru this forum pretty carefully but haven't found answer so far. Can 13 PP brakes be put on a non-PP (also a '13)?  I'm looking pretty seriously at Powerstop drilled/slotted but the PP brakes seem to have strong following. Any thoughts appreciated!

I dont think they will fit even though Ford always updates there parts,do you have a vibration when stopping at high speeds. Z

Caliper-to-wheel clearance issues, Z?  Probably have to have at least 20 inch OEM wheels.  May work with 19", but with a spacer?  You can get remanned calipers at the auto parts store, but make sure they give you the right product and have a solid exchange policy just in case.

I think the master cylinder and brake booster are the same across the Taurus line, so you would be spared that upgrade.

13+ SHO Calipers:
• PP - Same size as Non PP
• PP - has red high temp silicon seals
• PP - has drilled pistons
• Usually noted as "Heavy Duty brakes" for both pp and non pp.
•PP - usually denoted as "Sho Pkg" or something similar, in addition to the "Heavy duty brakes" designation.
• Same size and interchangeable : PP and Non PP.

13+ SHO Booster/ MC:
• Same P/N - PP and Non PP

13+ SHO pads:
• PP - Semi Metallic
• Non PP - ceramic
• Same size and interchangeable, PP and Non PP
• Usually denoted as "Sho Pkg" or something similar, in addition to the "heavy duty brakes" designation.

13+ SHO Rotors:
• Same PP and Non PP
•Usually denoted as the "heavy duty brakes"

"Standard duty" brake designations are for 13+taurus that are NOT the SHO.

The booster, master cylinder, calipers, pads and rotors are all new for the 13+ SHO vs the 10-12 SHO. These parts can all be retro fitted to the 10-12 models.

•Non pp usually says "w/o version Pkg"
•PP is "sho Pkg 1"
•Non SHO is "standard duty"

AutoZone, O'Reilly's, etc use slightly different designations.

Always Use the "54xx" in the part number as your guide. If it has "54xx" for the calipers, it is for the 13+ SHO. If it's a motorcraft part, then "brcf2xx" is the 13+ sho calipers. The br is BRake Caliper Front {BRCF} the 2 means its for heavy duty/sho. Then the other 2 numbers...I don't know. But they're different depending on the position of the caliper or if it's pp. BRCR would be brake caliper rear.

Motorcraft Rotors use a similar designation. BRake Rotor Front {BRRF} then a 2 for the heavy duty/sho. And then 2 more numbers. BRRR would be brake rotor rear.

All of this is confusing, but don't stop asking questions. The 2013+ sho brakes with semi metalic pad are to the brakes what a 3bar map and tune is for the powertrain.
