Hello,
All winter I have had popping/hesitation at 5800 rpm + and also have an LMS v8 93 tune. After the other post about this, I decided to take this head on. I checked the notorious knock sensor wires and saw no damage or wear on them. In my 2013 the passenger side was already zip tied. I insulated as much as I could from the drivers side with some wire loom. Tested this and saw no difference. Next thing I did was get down to almost an empty tank and filled up with 4 gallons of 100 octane race gas @ $6.99 a gallon. Like magic KR is 0 or adding timing, boost is much more comfortable going higher, trims are lower. This bi*** pulls now. I am absolutely convinced low quality gas is the problem.

I only want to catalogue the above info for other members, post is completely rhetorical, please lock thread as needed.

Thanks for the headsup!  Yeah, ShoBoat had cataloged his adventures with the KR issue and ultimately found the culprit to be the KS wiring.  Have you tried adding Marvel Mystery Oil to the tank, or TC-W3 oil to the tank to see if that takes care of the KR?  I have tried and found TC-W3 (Walmart brand, CHEAP) 5 oz to the tankful (19 gal) to work splendidly.  I think mostly due to the lubricating properties, but no objective proof of that.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I have tried octane booster and mmo with no improvement. I also spray chemtool B12 into the intake once in a while, some through all the intake piping and some through the throttle body directly. None of this matters without good gas unfortunately.
