Thinking of Trading for a Flex or Explore

I have a Sho presently and love it. However, I'm thinking of stepping up to the Flex for the space in the back for my dog or the Explore. Not really sure which way to go. I'd like to hear what you owners of each one think of it.

The only requirement I really need the new vehicle meet is it has to be the 3.5 Eco, AWD, and comparable to my SHO with the comfort. I know that puts me in the Sport area for the explore and in the limited model with the Flex.

My vote goes towards an explorer.

I've spent time in both, Flex has a TON MORE ROOM, no comparison to comfort and handling IMHO due to the lower center of gravity.
Easier to get in and out of, etc. etc. etc.
Unless you think you need the extra 1.5" of ground clearance the Flex dominate the explorer, it's like driving a limousine which I love.

The Flex (which I own) feels like it has more interior room than the Explorer although the numbers are really close. The driving position seems less claustrophobic than the Explorers, same with the third row. I've been in limousines with less room on the back than the second row in my Flex. The problem is going to be finding one. There are huge delays on The 15 models and the ever present rumor of Ford killing it. I love mine...and so does my neighbor who bought the one I factory ordered before getting a 14.

Thanks guys. I'm still on the fence on both. I need to go see both and bring my dog and see how he fits in it.

My sis has a Flex Limited (non EB) and it's held up well.  I think it sits too low for a SUV, but that's just me.

I'm going to pull the trigger on an explore. I like the ride height a little more than the Flex. The tricky part is finding one with the options I want.
It has to have the heated and cooled seats, and tow package. Beyond that its all good. There will be some SHO stuff for sale soon.
