So after having BE Breyton 20"s that weigh close to stock for 2 years and more curb marks than I would like on them, I opted today to switch to the 20" TSW Nurburings and General G-max tires. The salesman says Continental actually makes General, and I had read some positive reviews on them so I figured I would opt for them. Between the tires and wheels the rotating mass should be cut by close to 15lbs a corner, in my last car (G8 GXP) that was dramatic in stopping, going, and even steering the wheel. Does anyone think this como will be a good performance gain on a SHO PP?

I order my Nurbs next week; what size?

I got 20x8.5 to compliment the H&R springs and spacers I will get.

I think the G-max is a great tire for the price.  I was considering them myself.

Dave,

Get the Conti ExtremeContact DWS for year round -- Mike does it and my friends here in PA swear by em. I'm doing that because I can't handle dual wheels for each different season.

LOL  I was looking at those too!  Yeah, I don't know if I want two sets either.

Nothing but HUGE compliments to the Conti DWS's that I've been rocking on my DD SHO!

Any season, street or track use, these have proven to be quite dependable in any circumstance.

Unless something comes along that can convince me to order otherwise, I plan on re-ordering the same set when replacement becomes necessary.

I am doing the 20X 8.5 for the Nurs. I am very optimestic about this set up. Especially considering the Factory Eagle F!'s only lasted about 17,000 miles.

My A$$ dyno tells me that I am going faster and stopping quicker with the super-lightweight wheels and tires. It is even easier to just turn the steering wheel these things are that light. I also have noticed a MUCH, MUCH, MUCH smoother ride on the General tires. Road noise is non-existant, I am running 40PSI instead of 35PSI Only 15 miles on the new set up, but I am very pleased.

Quick question though, I just guerrilla tourqued the lugs, but what should the factory lug nuts be tightened to?
