Advance Trac Off

Quick question.  I took two friends out for a little screwing off and turned off Advance trac by holding the TC button down for the 5-6 seconds required and got the confirmation on the screen.  However when screwing off commenced I saw the advance trac/TC intervene light flash a few times.

Is this because its telling me the system "would have" come on or did big brother still come in even thought I was in the supposed "full off" mode.

If the flashing light(s) did not interrupt the drive (gear shift/sudden deceleration/etc), then most likely it was just detecting situations where the ESC/TC would have activated, and is warning you of the same & that the system is OFF.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Yea, I didn't notice or feel any intervening but then again I don't have that great of a feel for this car yet.  I'm going to hopefully get an auto-x in before the end of the season with it.

With advanced track fully disengaged, the light becomes a "good time mode" indicator.

Well I don't usually like to cross link but over on another forum it appears that Livernois is stating even the PP's don't actually turn it all the way off...

I will have to mess with mine in off mode to see if the light activates or not?  I'm usually too busy in the drivers seat to pay attention to the light if I've got Advance Track "off".

Dave think LME is in reference to the NON-PP.  Z

The whole thread is a little confusing...I was going off this comment in the last post in the thread:

"Even in the PP cars, like most other cars cannot completely turn those systems off. It is extremely numb, but not off. There are VERY few cars (mostly super and hyper cars, Viper, Lamborghini, Ferrari, AMG, etc...) that have this complete control over these systems as they are actual sports cars. "

From what I understand, there are distinct differences between PP and NON. Here a couple links. One from a member here.
