It doesn't. In a different post I stated that a valve was replaced on my car and ZSHO was asking which one it was. I was simply telling him the purge valve was the valve that was replaced. Has nothing to do with this thread really. It's just something that got brought over to this one.

That makes sense, i missed the other thread. If you're still searching for the cause, If I had to guess, start with rotors, tie rods, ball joints, and sway bar links.

I always try to get an inside perspective on what exactly was done to a vehicle prior to it exhibiting any issues someone has, knowing and having service records can sometimes be beneficial in pinpointing an issue, personally always keep a log on what was changed including the parts and date to have for my personal records, maybe its just the ocd in me. lol Z

I am the same way, and when it comes performance/modified cars, it's a must to look at the history and record when diagnosing issues.

Just an update. I'm currently sitting at the dealer originally for an oil change. I did let them know ahead of time the issues I'm having with brakes shuddering and a slight steal noise beginning to present itself. Long story short, my brakes and rotors all need to be replaced and I need a new serpentine belt and tensioner. Here is a quote of what all they told me needed to be done below. Evidentially the brakes were replaced w/o having the rotors turned and they are completely going to crap.

Not surprised about the brakes and rotors. Shaking while braking is pretty much always the rotors.
$75 for a cabin air filter though? $40 for labor?! Are they changing by the second for labor?
Those are some ridiculously expensive prices. And I bet that coolant flush is really just a radiator drain and fill. Not a full flush.

$800 for brakes and rotors installed. You could do that same job in an hour or two and about $200 - $250 in parts from rockauto. Even if you don't want to do it yourself, buy the parts and bring it to a mechanic that will and probably for under $200. That cuts $400-$600 off your bill right there.
You don't need any tools to do an air filter or cabin air filter. Both should cost you about $25 from rock auto and should take 5 minutes combined to install both. That cuts another $75 off your bill.
If it were me, I'd tell your dealership to get lost and go somewhere else. These are all pretty basic things any mechanic could do for much much cheaper.

Yep that's the quote they gave me for everything that "needed" to be done. I only allowed them to do the oil change and tensioner+belt out the door here is what I paid.
Additionally I just left Advance auto parts and got a quote for the parts needed for brakes and an air filter and this is their prices.
I forgot to mention the labor charge is absolutely insane considering they told me it would take about an hour and a half to two hours to complete the tensioner+belt replacement. They were done in a lil over 30 minutes.

If they charged time by the book, they have the right to do so. Experienced mechanics can finish jobs much faster, sure, but they are entitled to a return on investment also.
As far as Advance Auto/Autozone/Pep Boys etc, they always have a 15-40% coupon running if you order online/pickup from store etc. So make use of that!
