Glad Ford & the dealer came through.  Not the monsters they are so often billed to be!!!  Hope your SHO's up & running soon.

Super six motorsports makes heads for our cars.....just sayin.

Glad you were taken care of.

Its too bad there are so many bad dealerships that we have to worry about such things.

Service adviser said valve cleaning is included in engine replacement.
Might keep the super six in mind. Possibly a year or more down the road or if I run into trouble.

Ford is green lighting the motor.
No new cylinder heads but I'll take what I can get. The dealership is paying the other portion for us. I'm totally blown away.
Safe to say there is a good chance that my next work truck is coming from there.
Only down side is I've been missing my car for nearly 13 weeks!

Going to ask them to clean the valves and I'm putting an order into livernois asap.

Glad to hear things are working out much better for you now!  Let me know if there is anything I can help you with as I see you have mentioned placing an order with us.

We also offer CNC head porting for the EcoBoost vehicles.  This is standard on our built engines that we offer and also was part of our world's highest horsepower EcoBoost engine build as well as many others.  I am curious to know if anyone on here has tried these other heads mentioned and if so who has tuned them for ported heads?

Thanks guys. It took a year but things are sorted!
As far as the heads situation goes, I'm going to adopt a wait and see. If they behave I'll leave them as is for as long as I can.

Now with pics!
Managed to get them to send over photos, didn't send a picture of the block, will ask her today if that is a possibility

Wow! Am I seeing right? Looks like that piston and ring set was self-destructing.

Cylinder. Not a nick in it.
Hoping that this indicates a happy out come for my cylinder heads!

That does look promising!

I agree, this does look promising.  Hopefully that was the extent of the failure and the heads shouldn't be in bad shape at all really.  I'm sure once they have been fully dissected and cleaned thoroughly of any debris, they should be in reusable condition.

Car is back, low RPM miss is gone, weird highway hiccups are gone.
Knock sound still remains as the car shifts. However they've said this is possibly a normal noise. Due to the fact that my damaged cylinder had no deformation at all they suspect the loud noise I was hearing and the small pinging sound were unrelated. They've strongly suggested a tune due to the aftermarket parts.
Aside from possible driveline issues which I would suspect would occur on hard down shifts also which isn't the case.
I can only make this sound occur on steep hills. On flat ground it is non existent.
Will tune and keep everyone posted!

Best of luck, hope this is the end of the ills for a long, long time.  Probably should have the motor/trans mounts checked though.  Change the trans/PTU/RDU fluids to eliminate those possibilities as well.

Thats going to happen soon also, its about time for those fluids aswell.

Its very very quiet now. It sounds like several of the police models have been breaking #6 aswell. Will try the tune, if it gets worse or doesn't go away I'll probably dump the car!
