No radar detector is going to be very good against lidar/laser. There is not a lot of scatter or mis-aim of the beam, so usually if you get a laser alert, you've already been hit.
Best you can do is help "hide" your vehicle and make it harder for the cop to get a lock and/or target. They typically aim at front license plate and headlights. Both highly reflective by design.
As mentioned, laser jammer scan work IF SET UP RIGHT, which means ugly aesthetically for the car. Plus, may be illegal and likely guaranteeing not receiving a 'warning' (although that is true of detectors too).
Next, if your state allows no front plate, then a win for you. If you have one, I have seen plates you can buy that are made of plastic/fiberglass that look like a real plate, even with your number. Again, probably illegal and may get you another ticket.
Another counter measure that is popular is Veil. Designed to be a coating for your headlights and plate, thus making harder to get a lock by the cop. That, with a good laser detector, COULD give you time/warning to slow down.
Last, if you have a reflective vehicle, like me with Ingot Silver, and a chrome grille like we have on early models, we are even more at the mercy of laser cops. F150s with the even larger front end and larger headlights, even worse.
