Maybe this is the cause, he is running catless dp btw. He also listed a fix in his other vid.

Interesting, the owner said that a catch can or rising the idle to 1k rpm would solve the issue, with catch can being a proper fix, and the idle as a bandaid.

PCV  valve!

Intake valves
Educate me please... Why would lowering the vacuum (or maybe it was the load of the AC and not the vacuum per se) stopping the smoke?

My 2 cent education says it Its not the load itself but removing all the crankcase vapors. Should not require that much vacuum to clear crankcase. Maybe check for oil smell or water vapor in smoke. There are other things that could contribute but those are MAJOR items. Rings, heads, manifolds.

In older cars, the PCV valves were a weak link in so many issues including smoking. That being said "could" also point to valves not seating properly in closed position. And/or cam worn down. Maybe crap on valve seats.

This all based on my knowledge of older cars that had smoking issues. PCV valves cheap plastic. Even catch can. So......

Catless DPs will of course not "hide" a problem, catted DPs will, to some extent.  Are they excessively wide?  Is the brand being used a reputable one?  Plus I am sure there are unnamed mods on the Mustang, because the mods are not clearly stated in writing on the post.

Downpipes
Catbacks
Intake systems
Different engine oil
Tunes
Spark Plugs not gapped properly

The list goes on & on ...
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

I can see how increasing crankcase vacuum will help. It is listed under many turbo manufactures that the crankcase pressure can cause smoking by allowing oil to get past the seal in the turbo. So a good catch can set up may help. That said what would just a check valve do?

ALL -- I had this exact issue with my Stainless works catless DPs. Honestly, its nothing "serious" its just how our engines operate. I am +1 for the catch can.
