...I couldn't resist, besides if this trend keeps up we'll see "New Shoes XXXXXIIVVIIXIIX" at some point.  :D

So I took the old ruby gal up to a small local tire shop on Friday after making some calls the day before and got her fit up with some new Continental DWS06 sneakers.  I really like to look of the sidewalls and the tread pattern.  Lets hope that these really do continue the good things I've heard/read about the previous DWS model.  I had a little time left on the old Michelins but with a long trip to Kiawah Island, SC next week I didn't want to be hydroplaning all over the place if the weather turned soggy.

Some not so great picks...need to clean up my rims really good this week while I'm putting on my complete power stop brake kit. :D

So the total damage for 4 Continental DWS06 tires, with nitrogen fill, mount, balance, lifetime rotation, old tire disposal and alignment....$1005.15 out the door.  I don't know if the owner just really liked me or what but I couldn't get any other big chain place near me to touch that price.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!
