I have the LMS 4X tune and swapped out my 180 for a 160 thermostat. I've been reading how people lose various amounts of coolant while installing. I did not lose a drop. First you need a square shallow plastic food container, I trimmed mine down to about 2 1/2 inches in depth. Next pick up a siphon pump, I bought the Arnold Siphon Pump at Lowes for $12. Take off the engine cover, remove the battery then remove your CAI or air box. now you can see the thermostat housing. This is a two person job. Have a clean gallon container on the ground with the lower siphon hose in it, position the small container under the thermostat housing and have your helper tilt it a bit so the fluid accumulates towards the front, have him hold the upper siphon tube in that area. Now slowly loosen the two housing bolts just enough to crack it open as the fluid drains it will collect in the small container and can be then be pumped out, not much came out, maybe a cup. Next take the bolts out and hold the housing and radiator hose that's connected to it up, you can then snake the siphon hose into the housing and pump a pint or so out so it doesn't overflow. Next move the siphon hose back into the small container and pull out the 180 thermostat, it might take a bit of force and you might need needle nose pliers to firmly pull it out, if any fluid comes out the small pan will collect it and your helper can pump it out. take the gasket off, put it on the 160 therm, put the thermostat back in the housing and reinstall the bolts. Put the CAI back on, reinstall the battery and then the engine cover. Put a clean funnel in the radiator overflow and pour the fluid back in. No need to buy any and not a drop lost. Get the engine up to operating temp and check for leaks.
