ya. I have the battery in the trunk now. .was easier to mount there than trying to build a case up front for it.

Whether an extra 3.75cm of wire offers enough resistance to affect current flow in such a way to change the sensor input is doubtful in my mind...

Depending upon the gauge of the wire, the resistance across that short of a span is negligible. The calculations I've run at 14 gauge across 3.75cm is 0 ohms (Ω) with some resistance down past a milli-Ω. I admit I do not know the Ford sampling details but I doubt it is into the milli-Ω.

While I'm at it, 14 gauge does show .001Ω at 4 inches.

As resistance is just a small part of a bigger equation, reference Ohm's Law for more.

Just my 2¢.
Just a Taurus

Good point Darren!  Of course the number of strands is anothe confounding factor since the electrons move on the surface of conductors.

well if you just want to make the new open ugly engine bay area nicer looking as i did, as show my sho & at present have no interest in meth, found an inexpensive answer. turn the top of the oem box box over. will fit fairly snugly  into room & the area of the top of box is exactly the size of a license plate, so can use what ever you want .here's what I chose and no pointed deducted at shows.

Nicely done.  might not be a bad way to turn the stock airbag into a container.  Looks good.

It uses the stock intake opening so I'd say it is fine.

I have heard none. I've had no problem in a year or so... Several torrential downpours during AZ monsoon rains and no problems in mountain snow.

Ordered my M Design today, should be here by Tuesday and hopefully installed by next weekend.  Do I need an updated tune from LMS?  I am running the 93 3bar tune.

If all goes well, I will be ordering another for my wife's XSport.  If there was some type of discount for buying 2 I would have ordered them both today.
Sold - 2013 SHO w/ PP LMS 93 Tune, 3 Bar, NGK Iridium Plugs, MDesign CAI,  30% tint

2011 Audi S4 mt6 - EPL Stage 2 tune, Injen intake, EPL supercharger pulley, RDX Billet trans mount, ECS sub frame inserts, JXB Performance Short Throw shift kit.

No need for tune update, the PCM is quite capable of handling any airflow changes.  Downpipes benefit from a tune update however; the PCM stock doesn't really account for their flow characteristics, and the tune takes advantage of the earlier torque availability.
2007 Ford Edge SEL, Powerstop F/R Brake Kit, TXT LED 6000K Lo & Hi Beams, W16W LED Reverse Bulbs, 3BSpec 2.5w Map Lights, 5W Cree rear dome lights, 5W Cree cargo light, DTBL LED Taillights

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Thanks SHOdded.

Downpipes are next.  Was planning on waiting until my next emissions test.  Give myself two years with the mod then decide how to handle it then.

Has anyone dyno'd this CAI? Does it add anything or is it just for show like all the others?

Ahmad (MDesign) has done some dynos comparing it to others... It's in his thread... The MDesign does better, but not a large margin. It is sound and eye candy mostly on my SHO which is fine with me. I love mine and have had no problems in over a year. It doesn't slow the car as the other major CAIs do on the dyno and in real life racing. It is extremely hard to beat the OEM which I dyno'd vs no intake or filter at all with no changes in results (+/- 2 to 3 AWHP which is within the limit for error of the dyno).

And it somehow keeps the tailpipes cleaner, how is still a mystery.
