I just went out to snap some pictures of the nozzle setup and noticed there was a tube off... I'm not exactly certain on its purpose but I'm hoping one of you guys will know. I have no idea how long this has been off for as it is a barbed fitting so I didn't think of having to put a gear clamp on it. See attached pictures. When I get a minute here I plan on going for a test drive and see what the tube being reinstalled has cured. See attached links. I'm not sure if the images will be imbedded as I'm new to this site. Thanks again for the help

That hose is known affectionately and officially as the "RH compressor bypass valve hose", and connects the turbocharger intake tube assembly to the RH CAC tube.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Sorry to ask, I'm fairly new to the TT world. Is what you're saying about the CAC (charge air cooler?) hose that came off is that it's not that detrimental to normal vehicle operation? Thanks again for the help guys.

If nothing else, it's creating a boost leak.  Seems to me the line either needs to be replaced or that barb capped if the line was removed for another reason.

Put that hose back on that barb asap!....that is for the boost solenoid..thats why your car is surging and bucking

Oh absolutely, I did immediately. I'm not certain how that would have come off of the barb but I will definitely be finding a gear clamp to remedy that from happening again. I am going to grab a clamp asap here and I'll report back on the test drive. I appreciate all of the help you guys have provided me.

azazell64

Well, there you have it, a $1.00 gear clamp making all the difference in the world... That seems to have cured it. Thanks to all that have chimed in. I'm now going to fill up the water/meth and play around now that she's back to her normal self. Thanks guys.

Awesome!  Have tons of fun, and remember to post a few datalogs along the way :)

I'll try to get some logs tonight. Any specific parameters you guys would like to see?

I'll be using the xcal4 with the associated sct software.

FoMoCoSHO

I can send a handy config file when I get home from work.

azazell64

Hey, that would be awesome if you can send a config file. I have the one from Torrie but if anyone would like to see anything else we can add that. It still has a little surging but its infinitely better than it was. It has always wanted to surge a bit since new... I'm not really sure why. The BOV's seem to be set at such a low pressure that they trip rather easily with the aftermarket tune and the pedal response/sensitivity.

azazell64

Hey there, I looked through my email and haven't been able to locate the config file. I checked in the spam filter as well and haven't seen it there either. Would you mind sending it again?

Thanks.
