Dakota, I see you are running a 4+ 91 octane tune.  I am not sure if anyone has gotten into the 12s with the 91 octane version even in good air.  Your numbers might not be too far off considering the DA that you had.

Good to know. Unfortunately there are no stations anywhere close to me that sell 93 octane gas :-(  I'm looking into buying a 55 gal drum from a racing fuel vendor here in town so I can run the LMS 4x 3bar tune at the track in the future.

Bamsho, fellow member, mentioned something about VP having an octane booster call octanium I think...raises 9 gallons by 8 points if I'm remembering correctly.

Checked out the VP Racing site and on the product page it says it's safe for 02 sensors... but then when I go to the order page to order a case it says in the description it's not meant for 02's or catalytic converters. I sent an email into their tech support asking them to clarify before I hit purchase.

Apparently, there is this product called BioFlame (ethanol based fuel for fireplaces!!!) that might be even better than Octanium (which has no MMT etc by the way, or so they say :) ).

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Here's the email response I got from Vp racing fuels technical advisor....

I'm not sure why they have it that way...the octane boost has MMT in it and that can damage O-2 sensors over time...it wont kill it right away but the possibility that it will fail at some point is possible.

Thanks,
Tom Henriott

Are you saying the Octanium has MMT in it?  Interesting!  BTW, 104+ steadfastly maintains:

Why do the 104+® Octane Boost products say "For Off Road Use Only" on the label?

These formulas are not registered with the EPA for on-road use, so we are required to label both the 104+® Octane Boost and 104+® MAXIMUM Octane Boost products for "Off Road Use Only". However, both 104+® brand products are safe to use in ALL vehicles, and will not harm catalytic converters or oxygen sensors.

Do any of the 104+® brand products contain alcohol or MMT®* ?

No. 104+® brand products contain neither alcohol nor MMT® Fuel Additive* . MMT® is dangerous to spark plugs, catalytic converters, and OBD (on-board diagnostic) oxygen sensor systems. It is not recommended by vehicle manufacturers, and is considered an environmental hazard.

I didn't say it. Tom Henriott, a technical advisor at VP Racing Fuels did when he emailed me back to answer my question about Octanium. I'm just going to skip any additives and buy a 55 gal drum of the good stuff, going to do a different thread for that discussion though.

Also talked to a co-worked of mine who races regularly at Thunder Valley and the DA that night was right around 4000 which made me feel not so bad about my 13.600 now lol!

Google DA calculator...drag times should pop up as top option...then you choose track, then time and it will give you exact DA per hour most the time. When I checked yours it actually had it down to 15 minute intervals I think.

Ahhhh..figured out I needed to take off my ad blocker for the weather info to pop up. You're correct, it was just above 3000.
