"How-To" LED Interior Conversion for 2013 SHO

This was performed on a model 2013 SHO, I can't help you with earlier models.

I've completed the project and felt I would just throw this together with a master sheet of what I bought and some photos. It was quite an undertaking and at times very frustrating. I would be prepared to sweat some and probably swear some! I have quantities listed for just about everything you need, be warned this is ONLY for the number of sockets you have. I went through a lot more LED's than that; they are fragile and more than likely your sockets are new just like mine which means putting them in is difficult and sometimes will break them.

If you blew the fuse for your map lights and you can't find it in the manual; it is Fuse 4 - Demand lamps battery saver relay coil.

Rear Passenger Map Light Issue

You will more than likely be plagued with an issue where you put an LED in all (3) sockets and they don't turn off. I discovered the issue to be a lack of resistance and need for a resistor. In discussion with others on my thread, and another thread I found online--I located the parts and what needed to be done. Please read this otherwise you too will have a problem.

First off; you are short on resistance with all three LED's in the assembly; therefore you HAVE to add a resistor to one of the LED's. I chose to use the center LED as it was most easy for me to get too. Here are photo's of what I did; this does require soldering skills! You will see the part I bought at Radioshack and how I added it to the LED.
