Hey guys,
Not sure where to post this but this will have to do. One of my friends just bought a 2014 Infiniti Q50, very nice looking car. He raced my other friend with a 2008 BMW 535i and beat him by 3-4 cars from a roll, but the bmw is having some turbo issues and in the process of getting it fixed. (apparently the turbo's go bad on them and there is a recall to fix it. The turbo's are make some weird noise under throttle) Anyways the guy wants to race the next faster car which is my SHO (I beat the bmw but it wasn't as bad as he lost to the Infiniti) I would say he lost so badly because of the issues he is having. Does anyone have any experience with these cars? Can I stock SHO beat one from a stop and a roll? I plan to tune the car soon but I would like to do a stock race just to see how it goes. All my friends hate Ford so if I lost it would be a lot of s*** talking lol. My other friend recommends I tune it and destroy him and just say its stock but I don't feel right about doing that haha. The track is still closed so we would find a very safe place to do a quick 0-100 and maybe a 20-120 run. I am fairly confident in my car as it seems to be a beast right now. (posted a 0-80ish run on here) Btw this whole thing does sound childish on all our parts but all my friends are car guys so it is what it is!

based on the quick googling i did with zeroto60times. looks like you have it beat in the quarter mile and 0-60 (factory tune of course). do some research yourself on the stock numbers of the cars. http://bit.ly/1Dm1Tef

It would be a close race. Cold temps will be in your favor, and if its only rwd he could spin. I think you could win when its cold, and him when its hotter.

Looks like some people are running low 13's stock, makes no sense with 327hp. Lots of numbers all over the place.

Nah this isn't childish, this is what guys do, because RaceCar. I haven't had the opportunity to go up against one of those yet, but I have beat an 535i from a dig. I would imagine from a dig you should have it. Your car is twin turbo, isnt that thing n/a? Even though it says barely over 5sec from 0-60 im calling bologna. Idk about from a roll though as I have an Explorer and at speed it is a slow bish but from a dig ill be gosh damned if ive lost to anyone but the new ecoboost mustang to date. I am tuned though... Because at the higher end my X is slow I always only 0-80 never 100. I would just race him, see what happens, then bet money and tune it and whip him lol

Don't roll race from 45-55 as launch point...I'd shoot for a 25-30 mph roll race for the sweet spot.

I say put a stage 2 tune in it.  Then after that, step up to a 3bar tune and act like you just got it tuned.

That's not a bad idea if I wasn't curious which car is faster stock vs stock. I will just do it the fair way and see what happens. Like I said I will try to post a vid for you guys :)
