I found a set of 20X8.5 charcoal 2013 GT500 wheels for sale with 255/35 tires for a pretty good deal. I know they have the same bolt pattern (5X114.3) but the Back Spacing is 5.93" (150mm) and the offset is +30mm. Would these fit on my 2013? Thanks in advance

The closest combo I have found on Tire Rack is Offset: 35mm and Backspacing: 6.06".  The GT500 wheels are +5mm on offset, and -.33mm on backspacing.  Very, very close, but a bit more space on the suspension side.  A bit of extra stress on suspension/steering components.  You won't want to run a wider than stock tire on the new wheels if you don't want them sticking out.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

So if I understand that correct the wheels would stick out further towards the fender with more space on the inside? I'm jus curious if these would bolt on without giving me issues? The wheels already have practically brand new 255 Mickey Thompson tires on them but I could change them if needed.

Sorry if I sound like a dumbass I just deal with streetbikes more often than cars so this is all kind of new to me

Can't be 100% sure, but from the basic measurements, the wheels should fit as you said.  However, whether the brake caliper would be cleared is unknown, that has usually been the problem with non-OEM wheels if any.  The wheels do look like they should work though.

Yes they will fit. I just installed American racing wheels 20x8.5 with a 30mm offset and they look great. I have the factory tire size though 245-45-20, haven't had it on the car long enough to tell if it scrubs any with h&r springs.

awdsho

sorry I meant American muscle wheels

That pushes the wheels out nicely without having to deal with the hassles of a staggered setup.

This is good to know I just picked up a new set of AMR rims also, but mine are the staggered set. I haven't gotten the car out of storage yet to see if they will fit.

No rubbing, awdsho?
What's offset of OE wheels?

They'll definitely fit. There are SHOs out there with more aggressive fitment. They'll make for a nice, flush look though.

Curious as to what "hassles" you perceive are present with a staggered setup?

I take slight offense to this, as I have been running a staggered setup exclusively and have experienced no issues whatsoever.

Other than the inability to truly rotate all four tires, I see no "hassle" running staggered at all.

Thanks in advance.

Why would you take offense to that?

That was not a personal shot at you whatsoever.

You know I love your car and it's "beefcake" look, I've commented about it repeatedly.

I find the inability to rotate properly a hassle due to the fact our rubber is expensive and proper rotation extends tire life.

I'm also leery of screwing with the diameters on these cars with the finicky AWD system we have....known issues with some PD's either too lazy or cheap to rotate their tires and end up having AWD issues. 3 MM isn't much leeway.

Now on top of that we are giving more traction to the half with less power so I'm guessing the lower powered cars could see even more uneven wear.

I posted pics of my new F1's that have a new tire indicator in the tread. You can see the rear is perfectly intact and the front is gone. Besides that the fronts have noticeably more wear in general. And that's with 330 miles on the car.

There's also hassles at the dealership when a ptu blows up under warranty...

Your car may very well never have any issues whatsoever but that doesn't mean someone else's couldn't.

And then there's my luck with modding cars in general, LOL, and well.......3mm.

So for me, using offset to push the wheels out gets me 85% of what I want with less risk involved.

Different strokes for different folks.

I understand.

And I appreciate your reply.

For those of us that track our cars with any degree of regularity, will find out first hand, that replacing the front tires (more often than the rears) is just expected. Primarily due to the 70% front wheel drive bias, versus the 30% power that gets sent to the rear axles accordingly.

As such, the ability to truly rotate all four tires respectively, is a moot point.

Therefore, running a staggered set up is not as much of an issue as perceived.

IHeartGroceries

Guess I don't see how the inability to rotate as being a non-factor. A staggered setup is a costly endeavor. How could it be argued otherwise?

Looking forward to pics of the GT500 wheels on a SHO though, OP.
