I use the TIP # and divide by 2 and subtract 14.7 (I usually use 15).

So if my TIP reads 62, I subtract 15 from 31 which gives me approx 16 psi.

Am I using a different TIP # than you?  Am I doing this wrong?

Oh duh, I knew it was richer. Not sure what I was thinking.  :bangin: Good job getting it to run right. I know you can do it!

I'm getting to the point where I only use SCT to verify knock, I use Torque for everything else, the video recorder works so great that SCT just slows me down and the interface is good for logging but not for instantaneous verification of changes. I will continue to use SCT for virtual dyno though. :)

Boost leaks can be a b*tch when trying to track them down.  They can also make your tuning a nightmare.  Glad it's running good.  :)

A smoke machine makes quick work of finding leaks.

I saw a video of a guy that used cigarette smoke to find his boost leak. I think the video was posted on mazdaspeedforums. But yeah any machine that can create smoke should work when pressurizing the system.

I had a boost leak checker on my SRT4 which you just used a air hose to pressurize the system to check for leaks.  Real easy to do on the 4 banger.  T-bolt clamps usually solved the problem.  Have no clue on the SHO where check for it on twin turbo's...?

I looked into building a boost leak setup (I used to own an SRT-4 and a Speed6) BUT you'd have to do one turbo and then the other.
The smoke machine idea doesn't make sense, I only have a leak above 10 to 17 psi, Need to pressureize the system. I'm going to buy a smoke machine, making a hose to my air filter and then put it on the dyno and make a pull and see if we can find it.

Wow, that sucks.  I bet this will be more of a problem with the higher mileage guys'.  I always check and tighten the clamps where I can.  One small boost leak can phuck everything up.

That was the way I was thinking we would have to go about it,  but I was able to find leaks on my speed without pressurizing the system and they were very tiny. The smoke works itsself threw every crack. So might get lucky and not have to wait for dyno.

Fyi I let the fog machine keep pumping till it kicked its self off , so there was insane amount of smoke in the piping
