I can't upload the OBDLink settings file because it is in some goofy .stg format.

Upload it to my Google drive folder or change the file to .zip and then I'll change it back

Google drive didn't recognize the .stg format either.

After you change it back to .stg, put the attached file into root/storage/emulated/0

Open OBDLink and go into the settings menu

Once in settings hit the three dot menu button in the top right corner and select Import Settings.

That file has my layout and the extended pids used.

So the extended pids aren't working still?

Gjkrisa

No not from your gauges I have to manually add the ones missing

I can understand the positions being incorrect because the grid coordinates will be different unless you have the exact tablet.

The pids not working leaves me scratching my head though.

I think we goofed not having the ext pids to begin with.

I can try uninstalling torque and starting from scratch

Did you try OBDLink yet?

Their export function allows you more flexibility regarding what is exported.

I'm hoping it saved the gauge templates as well.

If not you will have to save one of each type if you want to modify the current ones.

Make sure you save every time you make an adjustment. You can save them all differently or just overwrite as you tweak them.

HP and Torque haven't worked for me they are supposedly trying to fix that.

I should probably connect and check.

Gjkrisa

No it would allow me access to put anything there so either in the wrong spot or I have to root to be able

You will use the import option from the same menu

Gjkrisa

Maybe torque isn't loading the pids because I haven't connected to my car yet?

Good call, I didn't think about that..

So, Import external pids first, connect to car, then try to import the dashboard.
