Thanks. I am glad it sounds just as quiet stock but with increased throughput. And mild turbo whistle.

Classic automotive exhaust welding...as long as they don't leak....that's usually the standard for exhaust welding...just saying

I think ajpturbo was just lashing back about the "hard ass" comment! lol. He knows for a muffler shop those are great welds. Besides, you have to keep in mind they were attaching 2 1/4" pipe to 2 1/2" X-pipe.

But car is re energized again. Next, meth???

Have you considered doing 2.5" pipes all the way through? If so why didn't you?

Whew that is so so true. I at least want to see someone's install before I attempt it on my own. At least another SHO owner to bounce thoughts and ideas off of.

My thoughts are the little increase is minimal when all I am pushing through is 425 hp max. Too cost prohibitive. I think another $200-$500. And I don't like the noise that and drone that comes from cars that are not moving enough air to truly make the exhaust sing. Cant make a V6 sound like a V8 without some serious $$$. Besides, I don't run at the track enough benefit from the added flow. Maybe if I do meth install I will revisit.

I am keeping my eye open for the Ford GT crate motor. Once its available, my car will be paid for and warranty won't be an issue. Imagine having a 600 hp ecoboost engine in the SHO. And Im sure LMS will have some sort of tune for it. So now with a tune, DP's and maybe meth a 700 plus hp 4500 lb sleeper. Even the Hellcats wouldn't wanna mess with the SHO!

another member on here had pretty much the identical car as me with the only difference being a full cat back exhaust. Corsa I think. We ran 0-140 videos side by side and it seemed to me that his car pulled more and more after 80mph. 0-80 was about the same so I think the extra flow on these cars is more noticeable with higher load on the engine. If racing over 80mph is your thing it might be worth it.

that post is around here somewhere.....
2013 PP SHO LMS 93V10 tune, 170* T stat, 3bar, K&N drop in, plugs re-gapped, 4in exhaust tips.
UPDATE - 130K miles =blown engine. Unleashed tune and EBPP upgrade turbo billet wheels / Turbo Smart WGA's on a bran new long block. Let's get this SHO on the road !

No need to imagine.

No need to wait.

An 805hp (at the motor) engine is already lurking under my SHO's hood.

Compliments of course, of Livernois Motorsports.

So they have the all the solutions & tuning ready to go.

The next biggest hurdle right now, is the drive train & it's related components.

I plan on only running my 525awhp (680 at the motor) tune file for the time being for this exact reason.

Per FMC Execs & their own internal testing, drive train failures did not START to present themselves until at, or around, 720hp at the motor.

So the 6F55 Trans is fairly stout, but obviously limitations abound when one starts pushing it to it's outer extremes.

AWESOME!
If I can get to 500 awhp, then thats all I would do. Wouldn't try for anymore. So figuring when/if I install meth kit that should get me pretty close.

But if I can or may ask, for those of us (me) without corporate sponsors and an LLC, whats the approximate investment a regular "Joe" would have to spend to get to where you are? I know it may be a little personal but curious. I was thinking rather presuming, in couple years, can pick up either a crate motor from Ford GT (<>$5000) or find one wrecked some where (<>$2000). Both of these should be near turn key engines. Then maybe another $2000 for any upgrades and fine tuning depending on which path is taken.

But for the salvage option I think the most expensive piece would be the heads and ecm to control everything. So even if engine mangled, only a few core pieces needed. Same block as current 3.5L but heads and fuel delivery.

Thoughts???
