Torque Pro experts - I have noticed my Air Temp in Torque Pro does not match the Outside Temperature reading on the radio display. Question - which one does the ECU use to make engine tuning related decision?

Engine is using the sensors in the car...IAT1(air box), CAC, IAT2(the 3bar mod)

I see torque ambient temps lower than actual temp and dash display over temp....that's compared to weather channel app

There's almost certainly another sensor entirely, on the exterior of the vehicle which is used for the interior display temp...

It's been awhile, but I'm thinking there are different choices in torque for ambient temps.

There is - I replaced mine because it was reading high. On the MKS it is just behind the lower part of the front bumper.  Mine still reads high even after I put the new sensor in......like 4-5 degrees high....I just live with it now.

At least on the 2010-2012 I still personally believe that you are getting the actual outside temperature reading through Torque but the Outside temp displayed on the dash/center console is actually an averaged value of some kind.  This would be to avoid seeing large swings in ambient temperature due to engine heat/pavement/etc..when sitting at a stoplight.  Not positive though.
