So I had an old phone I was using as my Torque platform but several if you inspired me to upsize a bit. I picked up a refurbished ASUS Memo 7HD from Woot (thanks Glock-coma!) To gain a little more screen real estate.

I was trying to figure out how to mount it and decided to make a custom mount out of 18 gauge steel and attach it to the two bolts under the center speaker cover...

Here is the mount I made (I remember someone else doing this but forgot who). I painted it a metallic "hammered" black.

Then I mounted the whole thing in the car. The notch is for the camera.

Here are some of the finished shots. It is completely hands off as it boots to Torque and then starts on the gauge screen. Everything goes to sleep after the car is shutoff so I don't have to worry about battery drain. I attached it with huge pieces of industrial strength Velcro that holds 20 lbs...
