REFLASHING THE PCM

If the strategy code changes, and you re-upload your tune without updating the code, most likely the car won't run properly, and you will know right away.  If so, simply revert back to stock, no problem, and get your tune updated.

It'd be better to have a process to check the strategy code each and every time after your car is at the dealer for service though, just in case.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Could you revert back to stock with the wrong strategy code?

Good point!  Probably not successfully, so to be safe, always check the strategy code with the tuning device before attempting to update the PCM. 

You DO have a fallback though in the event of something happening.  You can ask your tuner for the right file for the new strategy code!  Again, you may be stuck without a usable vehicle if you don't check the strategy code first before reflashing.  Maybe only for a short time, but why risk it?

For the my calibrator you simply hold the UP arrow button and the NO button to access the engineering mode to pull strategy code.
