Thinking about selling my SHO

My 2013 spent more time at the dealer than I actually got to drive it. And you don't just throw  a tune and exhaust on and run mid 12's. Plenty other vehicles for the money that can reach the same goals. You just hit a brick wall with these cars and the morning fun is over.

Main reason why i got this car. It'll run 12's with a few upgrades, it's comfy as all hell and 100% practical for me.... minus towing capabilities haha. And it prevents me from spending more than i need to.

Firstly, I think it's very unusual that anybody would cross shop the SHO with an SRT Jeep. Though, there appear to be several here. I've admired the Jeeps, but I'd never own one.

Secondly, the platform is at a dead end, because there aren't enough owners out there to take the time and money to push the boundaries or to garner support. Even so, the SHO is both easy and cheap to get into the 12s. I continue to fail to understand how that isn't quick enough for a DD. If you want a drag car, buy one or build one and drive a 12 second SHO to work every day and be comfortable.

Well I didn't want this thread to turn into a what vehicles better battle.  But I should have mentioned I'd be getting a first gen jeep SRT8 specifically a 2008-2010. I don't even care for the newer second gen jeep SRT8 as I have plenty of friends that have both. The SHO is a great car I guess the lack of aftermarket support is the biggest turn off for me. I think I'll list my SHO for 33k OBO and see what happens Thanks for all your input people.

If you're going to buy older, just have both!

Have a few built and dropped ones that drive by the house giving pipes all the time. I swear the one is that 1100 HP one (silver one). Looks just like it with the stickers.

Really that was my buddy Pauls Jeep he and I live in the same area. It was a beast but he went into RN school so decided to sell it. That could be it I know he sold it to someone outside Ca.

It sounds crazy loud, sits low with same sticker and similar rims. No black hood though.

Jeeps new are definitely a couple price ranges above the SHO, but still practical for good speed and can support hailing a family around.

Well I hope you find something your happy with.  We are living in a golden age of comfortable powerful and mostly reliable automobiles. It's actually nice. Glad I didn't have to suffer through the late 70 and early 80s.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!
