I just recently bought a 2011 Taurus SHO. As a ford technician I knew how much fun the cars are and I knew I had to buy one. As soon as I get some maintenance items taken care of I plan on modding the car. any suggestions of the first mod?

Pics or it didn't happen! :D

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure most are going to recommend getting it tuned first. Definitely the most bang for the buck with these vehicles.

yep!! TUNE!! My car is fully stock other than the tune.. and it is hard to beat!

First thing with the "4.1" model is to replace spark plugs and probably check the PTU fluid.

Bang for the buck mod is definitely a tune. Go 3bar right off the bat I'd say.

The more info you give us about your goals, the better we can help define how to get there :)  Enjoy!

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Just busting your chops. :) Sadly, that's a sound piece of advice to everybody who first strolls in here it seems.

No worries.

I did find my PTU fluid I took out. Time to send it out, hopefully before Thursday.

I will post pics as soon as I get a chance to get the car washed lol. Its been too cold lately to wash it.

I actually just checked my spark plugs tonight and they look like they have been replaced. Any suggestions on where to go for a tune?

SHOnUup

There are 2 strongly supported tuners here for the ecoboost platform.

Livernois Motorsports

Unleashed (Torrie)

Can't go wrong with either.

Livernois is more of a plug n play with a variety of tunes to choose from.

Unleashed also has plug n play tunes but datalogging is suggested to fine tune these for "your" car.
