Blowing off cap on throttle body servo drive?

I think it could be from shutting the throttle plate under high boost. The pressure build up cannot be related quick enough so some escapes though the servo. I'm not sure anything but a very serious adhesive will keep it in place. Then you will never have access to this point. I think it's best to leave it off.

I do not wash my engine bay so I am not worried about water.

That cap sure does not look like a reliable source of a air pressure seal,that cap should be addressed and updated,looks more like a cap from a can of WD-40.

The seal should be in the servo. But if boost blew the cap off then boost got past the seal.

I agree the the cap is not substantial, but there is an o-ring that seals the cap to the housing. This may be more for keeping water out than keeping boost in.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!
