On my previous car, it was a pretty popular solution to either remove the crash bar entirely, or cut into it, as seen in those photos, in order to fit a front mount.
I opted instead for pretty much the only system on the market which didn't require tampering with the bar.
I couldn't help but to think what the insurance company might say, if there was an accident and they found out the bar was tampered with.
But, the result of leaving it in place was obstructed air flow. Literally half of the IC tank sat directly in front of the bar. It was retarded.
