I'm a pretty avid gardener. We don't have alot of birds around our neighborhood, becasue there aren't any mature trees.
I've been spotting hummingbirds buzzing around some of my perennials, and I got excited. My wife made fun of me. Lol!

What's not exciting about a bird capable of such physical prodigiousness. Only thing close to it around here are the hummingbird hawk-moths.

What's not exciting about a bird capable of such physical prodigiousness. Only thing close to it around here are the hummingbird hawk-moths.

We've got something like that in North Texas - North American Hummingbird Moth. I enjoy observing those as well, but I appreciate them far less, because their larvae are these huge horn worms, that look like gigantic caterpillars, and they're insanely destructive to plant life. With bad infestations in the past, they have devoured entire tomato plants in my garden in two days. I kill them by horrendously brutal means when I find them. Lmao

Haha agreed. I have far less sympathy for insects. The way they conduct their bussiness is annoying.
