Got the underhood area and engine cleaned up a bit and looking presentable on the Buick.

Got some period correct wipers installed, yanked the hood cowl and the underlying mesh barrier and cleaned them up, cleaned out the leaves and repainted the mesh. Looking great. And then what happens? Coolant geysers from the front of the block.
Really didn't even attempt a proper diagnosis. Just ordered a new pump gasket, rad hoses, heater hose, belts, Yada Yada.
Get it all in today, get to the last water pump bolt, which is one that fastens to the timing chain cover, put spec 10 lbs on it...
And it strip out. Son. Of. A. b*tch.
Been down for 3 weeks. No telling when I'll find the time to go in, see if I can drill and tap. Not alot of spare material there.
