So I have been driving on these new plugs for about a day now.  The 6510 suggested by Panther and I have to say I like them. I also noticed the little KR events I was seeing are all but gone. The car does seem to pull a bit stronger, which would make sense with with the reduced KR events. 1 degree of KR is 2hp.

So in the car for a for a few days and I have been noticing more KR than with the stock plugs. Interesting but when I checked the OE plug with a gauge they are actually gapped at .32 not .30. I did gap the new plugs at .30. I am going to pull the plugs and re gap them to .32 and see what happens.

When I say more it's like 1.5 to 2 usually at WOT. Which is more annoying than a real danger at this point.

Correction I have been using Denso ITV-22, I changed them this summer to the motorcraft sp534's. Cause the Denso's were not readily available. I can tell you this the denso's looked excellent after 2yrs on them. I never checked the gaps on them, but they looked to good to toss.

So your top recommendations would be Motorcraft & Denso?

I can't tell a difference, car seems to run the same. Motorcrafts $25 Denso $60+ that would be the only difference I can note at this time.

Ok so some experimentation last night. Pulled the plugs and gapped them at .32, started getting misfire counts on FORSCan. Mind you there was 10 during the whole trip. But nevertheless 10. Whereas before at .30 there was 0. KR was not effected. I'm sure these intermittent misfires hurt performance I really couldn't feel a huge difference. Pulled the plugs and gapped them at exactly .30 misfires gone. So the moral if this story. Check the gaps and ensure they are actually at .30.

Good info shoboat. I wish I knew more about ignitions or at least more details on coils and such. Cause narrowing the gap has its draw backs as well. Wider gaps have faster and flame propagation, but I have yet to see any spec's on the stock coils or even after market ones. And would more voltage allow you to run a larger gap and not have spark blowout. Ive seen testing on how spark gap has a big effect on efficiency and emissions.

Yup, and also idle quality. I have noticed that the idle is a touch rougher at .30 than .32. I wonder if the F150 coils work on the transverse EB? Sooner or later someone will come out with a coil back for those.
