Mold on rubber roof trim pieces...
December 22, 2015, 05:31:27 PM
I did a search but didn't find anything about this...
Has anyone had any issue with the two long roof rubber moldings (running front to back) on their car showing signs of actual mold growth on them? I just recently noticed it after closer inspection and I've never seen it happen on ANY car I've ever owned. I could see if it sat for months without a bit of exterior maintenance but I wash my car at least once a month when the temps stay above freezing.
Anyone else seen this??
TIA...Kevin.

Mine has the same issue, I can get some of it off. It was like that when I got it, but had been sitting on a lot for a few years.

I guess you can try to order one and replace it,if all looks good then you can do the other side, probably need a step ladder to gain full access to it,here;s a link of the parts. Z

BTW also a cheap alternative might be to experiment a small section at a time using somr clr cleaner along with some brushes. Z
