Nitto Motivo any good?

I wasnt super impressed with the OE michelin's and im due to get some new tires soon with the new rims im getting so these nitto motivos seem to have great reviews and are even rated to get up to 186 mph lol they also have a xl load rating im not sure if that really matters so i guess it would be a drawback. I was looking at everything im just not sure what to get. I live in one of the worst citys for rapidly changing weather so i need a good tire.

I like to go WoT a few times a week so i need a tire that is as good or better then the michelins in corning and water traction. also i found nitto motivos are only tire i can find with 60k warranty like the oe tires.

Nitto Motivo is brethren to the Toyo Proxes 4 Plus.  Both very highly rated all-season, sporty tires. There are more performance tires out there, but tires are all about compromise and these I think both do well.  Haven't owned either, but I keep my ear to the tracks and people seem to like these.
I don't have an EB but I am an avid modder and happy to help the community and learn/grow.  Pretty good with audio and wheels, my build and discussion threads are here in the forum.  2013 Flex AWD N/A

I put them on my SHO about 5k miles ago. Just had them rotated and they're flawless. They ride much better then my GY Supercars did those tires were too harsh for my daily driver esp with my performance package suspension. I got 255/45 20's for a tad larger tire and they definately hook up better than my 245/45 Good Years. Softer sidewall and a little wider / different compund etc. Only differecne is taking corners at high speeds feels a little less unsure due tot he taller / softer sidewall, but I'll take the trade off for only that small draw back. Like you said the Motivos are a 60K tire and my GY's lasted only 25K miles. PLus I like the larger look of the 255's. I was parked to a bone stock looking SHO identical to mine last night and the stock tires now look anorexic to me. With the 255's I can go over speed bumps and things in the road easier too :)

255/45 R 20's on mine below..plus they're a tad cheaper than 245/45's, but 255/40's are quite a bit more expensive than the 255/45's.

UPDATE - 130K miles =blown engine. Unleashed tune and EBPP upgrade turbo billet wheels / Turbo Smart WGA's on a bran new long block. Let's get this SHO on the road !

I had the motivos on my other car,pros 50k treadwear,better ride and quieter now the cons the sidewall were to soft in my opinion which contributed to the sloppy handling,spoke to a rep from discount tire he recommended about 35 psi to help,no tire is perfect,especially when it comes to the eagle f1s which I have also.

Yeah its definitely meant to compromise some response in exchange for comfort.  But that's with all tires, its a matter of what you want.

If you want some really sharp handling, try something in a summer only tire.

I just put on the motivo's 255/45R20. Haven't had the opportunity to try them in the rain yet. But I have been to the drag strip with them. Traction seems to be pretty good, aired down to 28psi I was getting consistent 1.8x 60fts which is on par with the GY F1 supercars they replaced. Cornering feels a bit softer and there is a noticeable delay in steering input as compared to the GYs, but is not bad. Car now rides allot quieter and feels softer and more comfortable. Also saw my mpg increase by 3-4 mpg. On the hour long trip to the track I averaged 25.8mpg which is a new high for me and my driving habits. Time will tell but so far I think any trade offs in performance(albeit small ones) were well worth it especially if I manage even 50k miles out of these tires.

These are what I am about to put on myself.   Wife curbed our SHO when I was out of town (option B was a headon collision with my 4 yo in the car, so I'm fine with option A occurring).   Just finished the battle with the ins co over OEM new wheels (passenger front/back) and they are replacing both tires too................so I'm stuck replacing the two driver's side tires.    Good news is  the back wheel is only a small cosmetic blemish (about a 1" long rash), but insurance is paying for a new one, so the shop is going to charge me the core deposit and I'm keeping it for a spare.  YAY.   

The SHO is mainly the grocery getter (I drive my '12 F250 diesel daily for work), so summer tires were an unnecessary luxury (unused excess performance).  It is either the Motivos or these:

So far, so good on the Motivos.    No noticeable performance changes to me.
