Thanks SHOdded,i guess im just a little bit old fashioned,i guess going GREEN is more important than a half shaft falling apart, then lawsuits and injuries etc.
LOL.  Hopefully now that the membership is aware, no one will come even close to this happening to them. Once (crashnburn) is enough!

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

What type of bearing noise is your car exhibiting?

Depending on the surface of the road determines the speed you hear it at.  Seems to be a rotational sound from the rear driver tire.

Almost like the wheel is not round or unbalanced.  Seems to have some vibration associated with it.

Does this sound/vibration have any "pulsing"  qualities to it.
I had a similar problem awhile back. Turned out to be the RDU or rear drive unit.

I believe so as it's not a constant tone - like a out of round wheel noise.  I guess Monday or so I will get some answers.  25,428 miles on the clock.

And here is my last post after it was fixed.

" Pulsing Vibration finally fixed

It's been kind of a nightmare dealing with this problem. But it's finally fixed. It ended up being the RDU. Here's a list of the parts ford already replaced before the RDU 1 wheel Entire driveshaft assembly All four wheel/hub bearings PTU assembly AWD control module RDU Total time for all repairs, troubleshooting, waiting for parts. ford had my car for 8 weeks!!! The RDU is built by ZF to order, so they do not have them in stock waiting for shipment. Oh and I replaced all 4 michelin tires with new michelin mxm4. Michelin gave me a 50% credit on 3 of them. So if you have a pulsing vibration above 50mph ...........IT'S THE RDU!!!!!"

Mine checked today all good. I asked if this was something I should have inspected regularly and was told nope. Either it is the faulty part, which they can see if it is, or its good. It is not like our cars have the faulty parts and the failure may or may not occur.

Do they check for a part number on the shaft itself? If so that would explain the yes or no response.

Advisor wasn't sure. Said he thought it was some number on the shaft that would tell them what batch it was produced from.

It was after hours when I picked her up as I work the same hours as them. ;)

Love how service advisors can't even read. No where in the information provided to dealers does it list a anything to do with numbers.  It has to do with a circlip not being fully seated during assembly. Oddly enough vehicles from more than one assembly plant are affected.

Ugh.... why is it so hard for something to be taken care of correctly.

Just got back from the dealer. Took 10 minutes. I was with the tech when he did it. There is no part number checking involved. He showed me the recall document and it has pics with the defective shafts. Looks like they are slid away from the support bearing by .2"-.3" (or more) somewhere in there. He then used a prybar and made sure mine would not slide. No sliding. He said he has checked four or five so far with zero defective found.
