If you haven't checked out the 2015 Grand National yet please do-I am in love with the body style and it will come with AWD and a 400 horse 3.6L V6 engine!

Wow I love it. I am not a Ford guy(When i bought my current vehicle), but they had the best engine overall for the money but that with the Cadillac CTS V sport engine would a deal changer.

I don't know.  It IS a departure from Buick styling in a good way, but it reminds me of a Nissan front end with a Beemer back end.  I saw a pic of a hood w a scoop, too small, looks ricer to me.

BUT, I am all for a performance Buick worthy of the GN/GNX badge.  Would be nice to have rear-biased AWD.  How much headroom will be left for tuning remains to be seen.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Livernois has already taken this engine to 445whp and 452 tq in the CTS-V Sport with a tune only:

If  they make this AWD, it will be on my short list of next cars to get.

They most likely will not put the CTS-V engine in the GNX. If they did it would definitely not get awd. GM does not work like that.

That and gm has a seriously bad business practice. Just look at the ignition switch recall.

And how do you know any of these statements to be fact?

I never stated these as facts. If GM has learned anything about CAFE regulations it will take its beating and move on. If they produce cars that get poor fuel milage they will be fined for every unit produced. On top of that the consumer will then pay a gas guzzler tax on top of the msrp.  Yes they can just pass this fine onto the consumer, all that means is you are paying more for something inferior to the rest of the automotive market.

The new business model of Buick is fuel efficiency with its redesign. Yes you can produce a sports car. But it should be a modern day sports car that meets the requirements. The GT500 manages to make 650hp yet still meets fuel regulations.

You can make power and still maintain fuel economy. GM just fails at combining the two.

Doubt it.  Article I saw referencing it stated it would be in the $30K's, and was poorly written.  You can't even get a regal GS for less than $35K.

I'm pretty sure it's simply a Cadillac ATS with different skin.  The regular GNs will get the 2.0L turbo or the NA 3.6L.  I can't imagine the GNX selling for less than $45k.

If it's an ATS with the Vsport engine it should be quick.

I'm the original owner of a 87 Buick Turbo and have been a member of the GS Club and Buick Performance Group for years. As much as we wish  new GN was in the works, this is just a rumor and last year a member of Buick's marketing team who was at the GS Nationals in Bowling Green was asked about it and she said there are no plans for a new Grand National.  Too bad because when the rumors first started 2 years ago, I was all pumped to buy one.  Even my wife was on board with that plan :)  but it's not to be.
