As we are limited to the I/C upgrades for the SHO', why not use a NO2 spray bar kit to keep things cool.
NOS has one for $422 at Summit Racing.
I realize this may not be the best for consistancy.....

I Don' know how well that would work since it's sandwiched between the radiator and air con. condenser. Hmmm I wonder what cold Nos would to a hot radiator?

I wonder.... where's the safe line? Seems that if our IC became "too" effective the SHO might suffer the fate of the F150 EB with condensation leading to the turbos getting condense slugs of liquid causing problems.
Happy to have someone test the idea and let the rest of us know...

Can't say I really understand this. I'm running 18-20 psi in my 14' SHO PP and it seems to like it. And I have a 14' Mustang GT with a hellion twin turbo with massive intercooler and an 08' Civic SI with a turbo kit that also has a large intercooler. Those intercoolers are much larger than what OEMs would install and I can daily drive them with no problems.
Some race turbo applications actually inject pure water in the intake to cool the charge temps and EGT's
People have been upgrading to larger intercooler on WRX's and STI's for years. I know what went on with the F150's but it doesn't jive with me....I think it may have been more a problem with geometry or component location or something but I've never heard of an intercooler being too efficient or effective....I dunno.

If you cool the air too low then you'll create condensation which creates water in the intercooler. This water accumulates and then is sucked up into the throttle body which is not good.

Skip the IC sprayer and go with a good alky/water kit...my personal experience

I agree that a inter cooler can't be too good. The real problem with the pickups is that they had so much extra water oil and fuel from other issues with the design
And large cooler on a semi can get the intake charge to with in 10-20 degree of outside temp.
