No need to get personal or vulgar.

I think the frustration comes from being ridiculed for ASKING the questions for LMS to answer.

I have Lms stuff and so far im loving it. So it the nice people that are backing LMS post with nothing and getting in the way of the people that want to know more. LOL what is wrong with conversations with the ones that made the post why do i have to keep talk to that ones that aren't answering my questions and make this wonderful post that LMS made and know there a bunch of crap on here. AMAZING

Discussing technology, asking "Why", raising the collective "IQ" is an important part of this forum.  Advocate your position with facts & figures, or personal experience.  Feel free to respond when someone asks you to clarify, no fingers are being pointed.  It is your right to believe what you want to believe.  Draw your own conclusions.

If data cannot be shared due to classification as company secrets or proprietary etc, say so and leave it at that.  Again, nobody is pointing fingers.  BUT, be aware that appropriate importance cannot be given to statements using data that is not openly available for analysis.  Trust is a good thing, but that is a personal choice.  It is not a defensible position by itself.

If tuned:  Take note of the strategy code as you return to stock (including 3 bar MAP to 2 bar MAP) -> take car in & get it serviced -> check strategy code when you get car back -> have tuner update your tune if the strategy code has changed -> reload tune -> ENJOY!

Nothing is wrong with questions, conversations, or spirited debate as long as a level of decorum is maintained.

I fail to see any unfounded claims here, we are certainly left in the dark here as to how much horsepower can be reliably had with these new pistons and rods. But that is very scary territory, to get into claims like that. This is a very young engine platform and we have to accept that sometimes we are dealing with unknowns.

I think anyone considering this product knows that and accepts that they may blow up their engine if they overestimate what they can do with it. I think anyone getting as far as the horsepower numbers to warrant this product knows full-well what they are getting into.

I would bet there's not enough fuel available to test...

I fail to see any unfounded claims here, we are certainly left in the dark here as to how much horsepower can be reliably had with these new pistons and rods. This is a very young engine platform and we have to accept that sometimes we are dealing with unknowns.

The claim is that the rod failed due to the HP that was being run, and NOT just from a bad con rod. There are a bunch of stockers that have snapped con rods so far, and had them replaced via ford factory warranty. If LMS thinks the engine they tore down was due to HP and not a Ford problem, I would like to know why.
If this is an unknown, they shouldn't make the claim.

What I'm looking for is something to the effect of: "this was just one example, we've torn down 12 engines in the past year, all of which were over 450hp, and all of which failed due to a snapped con rod."

That would be empirical evidence substantiating their claim.

Thanks for the update!  Is that a "safe" power level (longterm) or is that a "track-only" power level (short bursts only)?  What do you foresee regarding needed changes to the transmission/powertrain to support?
